my new cousin logan!!!
Had a great ride with the boys this morning. Did a little more than I was ready for. The past few weeks have been pretty busy so have not been out on the bike as much as these guys. The first 40 miles were all good but then started to unravel from there. Nothing that a coke from RK and an extended ride in AD’s slipstream didn’t fix. Thanks to JF and DK for putting the ride together.
Harrison update: very close to being able to walk unaided. He has been showing measurable progress every day.
Finally built a woodrack in the basement to house my extensive collection of ‘boards of questionable value’. It sure seemed like a good idea. Cleaning up the woodpile then created a bunch of extra space in the basement. This of course lead to the setting up of the old musical equipment. With CL on drums, myself on bass and NS on guitar, we belted out a few tunes and had a great time. Watch this space for mp3s.
Spent an hour with wounded man. He seems to be in pretty good spirits considering. Hopefully they’ll let him home soon. They are doing a very good job with him: quite an impressive place..
Today Harrison was admitted to Angell Memorial Hospital for surgery on his
back. Poor little guy woke up this morning mostly paralyzed from the waist
down. He has been having a little trouble with his back this month. Today
was the worst yet. This is common for daschunds: to have acute congentical
spinal issues. Hopefully he will pull through and regain the use of his
lower body. Many people think Jen and I are crazy to go to such lengths for
our pets but they get under your skin…
Many people spend the morning of New Years Day with aspirin and a ‘bloody mary’. This is how I spend mine. The name of this shot is ‘first town line’ of 2006. Fitting as we leave the club’s hometown on a northward jaunt. From right to left: GG, JG, GP and myself. These great pictures come courtesy from the official CCB visual archivist and professional photographer Michael Zagachin. He takes alot of great pictures; be sure to check out his online gallery. I have some GPS logs online of this and some other rides I did this weekend. Thanks for visiting. Have a great New Year!
