Made some headway on the house: Pete helped me get some ducting, thermostats and ductwork set. JH and M were also helping out; as they were up visiting for the weekend. Was great spending some time with these two and it was a great opportunity for some good hardcore training. Went for a 3.5 hr ride yesterday and then did a 2 hour effort today. Starting to gain some decent base level fitness. Can go for longer and longer periods without exhaustion. Good circulation for the mind, and good for the spirit to be outdoors. Starting to hit my fitness stride. Need to add in some intervals and some bodyspeed workouts.

Using 125′ of 840 test steel braided cable and a sophisticated dual ramp and tree pulley system, Charlie, Joe, Kenny, myself and Kenny’s truck successfully lowered the 650lb beast down the bulkhead and into the cellar. Unlike the great builders of Giza, we used pvc instead of timber rollers to negotiate the ramps and get it into final position. Can happily report no deaths nor crushing injuries.

Its been a while since I posted to this thing. Lots going on. This weekend particularly busy. Did a 2 hr ski w/ KH on Saturday followed by a 2 1/2 hr ride after a meeting was rescheduled. Then went down to Cambridge to help JS move into his new pad. Sweet digs. Got to meet Jess and Heather and catch up with some old alums whom I’ve havent seen in a long time: PK, LK and TN. Met with a guy Sunday morning to do work on the house; then off for a 3.5 hr ride up to Kingston NH and back. Tried to hook up with the group but missed them by a few minutes. Then crashed out and watched the Patriots win the superbowl.
