epic weekend

Wow what a fun weekend. First went for a fun but pollen filled ride on Saturday then went down w/JL to see KH in her first bodybuiilding contest(!) GO KATE. She looked amazing; so proportional and ripped!! She won her class and got to the finals and barely missed getting the whole women’s event title! Amazing for her first event. Got to see alot of people; Mom, Frank, CL, CF & sisters, JH, JF, KF, JH and BH. Never been to anything like that but it was fun. Then on Sunday did an epic ride with JH; 84 miles around the north shore; some before ccb group ride, then some after. Spent some time out on the lawn with the dogs enjoying the great weather. Then today went into the White Mtns and did a hilly 60 mi with KN, KH, JH and M?. Unbelievable weather and a great time. Found a neat bike path which was fast and windy. After all that I feel a wee bit toasty.

bike rally

Did the Topsfield bike rally this weekend. Something I’ve always wanted to do in support of the Tri-Town’s efforts to promote cycling. Sadly the cool damp weather stymied attendance, but its always fun spending some time with cycling folk. Pictured from left to right: KH, JF, myself, LB, CB, GJ, J?, and SM; MZ taking the photo. Yes; those stars and stripes jerseys are the real mccoy; hard won national champion’s jerseys belonging to national champs LB and CB respectively. I’m standing next to them in hopes something might rub off :) . For more info on the team and soon a great story on the bike rally by GJ (our lead club journalist-also pictured) checkout http://ccbracing.com.

so its been a while

Hello again. Its been a while. Lots going on; a moment to reflect. Many folks to thank and appreciate these past few weeks fostering the acceleration of projects, personal healing and growth. Reconnecting with friends and pastimes as early Spring stress melts into Summer resolve. Papers signed, contracts inked, direction focused: the fog lifts and the road ahead is clear and beautiful. Skimming along the calm waters at dusk now at high speed dodging sandbars. Climbing mountians again with brothers; keeping it in perspective; keeping it real.
