tales from a sub-mediocre bike racer

So I did the Palmer and Monson road races this weekend. Palmer on Saturday was a brutal 63 miler through a heavy rain and gusty winds. It was tough racing, and I was really psyched to finish with the bunch. This was my goal as I was shelled the previous year on the second lap (and it was sunny and mild that day!). Unfortunately, I had ‘nothing in the bank’ for the following day’s race in Monson. Overall a fun weekend and great, well run events.

Whoa, more snow? I put all my winter clothes away last week. What an unusual sight to see spring birds in their colorful plumage flit from snowy branch to snowy branch. Speaking of colorful plumage, racing season is upon us but it sure doesn’t feel like it. Will be happy to see this winter go – I think alot of people (me included) would like to put this winter behind us.

happy birthday
